Turkmenistan Oriental Network recently reported that Turkmenistan’s Ahal, Barkan, Lebap and Mare regions have started this year’s cotton sowing work on March 23. Dashoguz region in northern Turkmenistan Cotton sowing work will start on the 30th of this month.
This year, Turkey’s cotton sowing area will reach 580,000 hectares, and it is planned to harvest 1.25 million tons of seed cotton. Among them, Mare Oblast 365,000 tons, Lebapu Oblast 320,000 tons, Ahal Oblast 280,000 tons, Dashoguz Oblast 275,000 tons, and Barkan Oblast 10,000 tons. </p
