The cotton farmer said that the cost of planting this year is higher than in previous years. Among them, the land rental fee is 1,200 yuan/mu, seeds 60 yuan/mu, mulching film and drip irrigation tape 150 yuan/mu, pesticides 150 yuan/mu, chemical fertilizers 450 yuan/mu, water fee 300 yuan/mu, labor (weeding, Topping, etc.) 300 yuan/mu, agricultural machinery (ploughing, harrowing, sowing) 130 yuan/mu, cultivating 50 yuan/mu. Based on last year’s calculation of machine harvesting of 240 yuan/mu and other miscellaneous expenses of 150 yuan/mu, the cost of cotton farmers on their own land is about 2,000 yuan/mu, and the cost of contracted cotton farmers is about 3,200 yuan/mu.
