In recent years, the sericulture industry in Longchuan County, Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province has developed rapidly. In order to solve the “stuck neck” problems such as serious outbreaks of silkworm diseases (pus diseases) in some seasons and low benefits per mu, the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences The Sericulture and Bee Research Institute took the lead in setting up a science and technology mission to explore the development of the sericulture industry in a “dissecting a sparrow” manner, helping the county’s sericulture industry to become stronger and bigger, and to improve quality and efficiency.
In early March 2021, the Yunnan Province Longchuan County Sericulture Industry Science and Technology Mission was established. The members include science and technology and management workers from the province, state, county and local leading companies in the sericulture industry. Subsequently, the science and technology mission held a project launch and discussion with Longchuan County Party Committee, County Government and enterprise leaders. In response to the industry’s “stuck neck” problem, the meeting determined a technical approach to explore the development of the sericulture industry in Longchuan County by “dissecting a sparrow” . The Sericulture and Bee Research Institute of the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences sent two members to Long at the end of March that year and stayed in Luliang Village, Longba Town and Mingshe Village Committee, Husa Township to carry out scientific and technological services.
After more than a year of work, relying on the scientific and technological strength of provinces, prefectures, counties and enterprises, many members of the mission went to Longxi many times to carry out industrial research and technical services, training more than 500 farmers throughout the year, and building The mulberry storage room of the silkworm shed is 1050㎡, and the renovated silkworm shed is 1130㎡. We focused on building two core demonstration sites, the Manbeng Group and the Qile Group. Among them, the Manbeng Group raised 23 batches throughout the year, raising 474.839 pieces of silkworms, with a yield of 21132.243 kilograms, 44.50 kilograms per piece, and an economic income of 801,897.25 yuan. Compared with the previous year, the mulberry benefit has been significantly improved compared with the economic benefit; the Qile Village group raised 123 silkworms, an increase of 38% over the previous year, produced 5677.4 kilograms of cocoons, an increase of 40% over the previous year, and the output value was 235,000 yuan, an increase of 58% over the previous year. .
The science and technology mission assists enterprises and local technical departments in formulating technical standards such as the “Implementation Measures for Building a Sterile Silkworm Co-breeding Base” and “Technical Operations for Separating Silkworms into Households during the Three-year-old Feeding Period”, and introduces A number of new sericulture equipment such as sterilizers, square cluster automatic cocoon harvesting machines, and electric sterilizers were tested and demonstrated; a test demonstration of “small silkworm artificial feed breeding” was carried out, and 8 supporting automatic temperature and humidity controlled artificial feed breeding rooms were built , more than 300 pieces of 7 varieties of artificial feed silkworms were raised and tested throughout the year; 1,500 acres of organic mulberry orchard base was built, and 1,355 acres of organic mulberry orchards entered the conversion period to realize the export of organic silk.
