This batch of feed silkworms showed excellent comprehensive traits, with neat development, low dead cage rate, strong disease resistance; high cocoon production, good cocoon quality, and high cocoon layer rate. According to statistics, a single silkworm seed of “Youshi No. 1” can produce cocoons up to 45.2Kg, a new variety “MB” can produce cocoons of 46.6Kg, and 60 silkworms can be sold for up to 135,000 yuan, which has been obtained in pilot villages and towns. and silkworm farmers alike.
The success of this test has promoted the industrialization of artificial feed silkworm co-breeding in Qianjiang District, and made due contributions to promoting agricultural efficiency, farmers’ income, regional economic development and rural revitalization. .
