Recently, hot weather has continued in the Hutubi area of Xinjiang, with the maximum temperature being 38 degrees Celsius, which is conducive to the growth of cotton.
At present, local cotton is growing well, with a plant height of 60-70 centimeters. Cotton farmers have three main tasks. The first is to manage the amount of water and fertilizer to prevent the adverse effects of high temperature and drought. The second is to prevent the three insects in cotton fields (i.e. aphids, spider mites, and cotton bollworms). The current occurrence of insect pests in cotton fields is mild. The third is to provide Prepare for later topping work. It is understood that local topping work is expected to start from July 1-10.
Local cotton farmers said that cotton is currently growing well, and there are more favorable weather conditions this year, so the overall planting and growing period of cotton have been advanced. If there is no adverse weather impact in the later period, production will increase this year.
