The reporter followed the aroma to the cloth drying yard of Guangxi Huahong Silk Home Textile Technology Co., Ltd. and saw workers working together to spread out rectangular pieces of cloth. When you get closer, you can see that there are pieces of silk and satin with bright colors and different patterns, which look like flowing watercolor paintings under the sunlight.
“This is Xiangyun yarn. We are taking advantage of the fine weather to dye and finish, dry, spread fog, roll silk, check the yardstick, and finally put the finished product into storage.” Wei Ping, the relevant person in charge of the company introduce.
It is understood that the company is the first company in Mengshan to introduce and invest in Xiangyun yarn project. It was put into operation in August last year, with an annual output of about 1.5 million meters of Xiangyun yarn.
The introduction of Xiangyun yarn project is a vivid practice in Mengshan County to “strengthen the leader, mend the chain, and gather groups” to develop the cocoon and silk industry. In recent years, the county has given full play to its industrial advantages, seized the development opportunities of “Eastern Mulberry Migration to the West, and East Silk Migration to the West” to build the cocoon and silk industry into a characteristic industry with county economic advantages and promote the high-quality development of ecological industry.
Up to now, Mengshan County has 254 high-speed rapier looms, with an annual production of about 10 million meters of silk. Both the number of high-speed rapier looms and the annual silk output account for more than 70% of Guangxi’s total. The Silk Industrial Park has achieved an annual gross industrial output value of 557 million yuan, becoming the only county in the region covered by the entire cocoon and silk industry chain. It has been recognized as a demonstration park for the entire cocoon and silk industry chain and a Guangxi characteristic industry light industry park.
