This year, more than 1.9 million acres of cotton in Shaya County, Xinjiang, has had a bumper harvest. Cotton processing companies in the county have made every effort to sell and process cotton. So far, 614,200 tons of seed cotton have been purchased, and the purchase progress has exceeded 80%.
On December 4, at Xinjiang Tianyu Fengshou Cotton Co., Ltd., cotton farmers came one after another with loads of cotton for sale. In accordance with standardized procedures, the staff at the purchasing point methodically conducted sampling inspections, tested clothing scores, weighed and unloaded trucks for cotton farmers, and went all out to provide purchasing services.
Mijiti Yasen, a villager in Otula Kuldaxi Village, Gulebag Town, Shaya County, said happily: “I planted 230 crops this year. The yield per mu of cotton is about 420 kilograms. Today I sold 10 tons of cotton, and there are still about 30 tons in the field. It will be sold out in the next two days.”
As cotton procurement comes to an end, cotton-related enterprises are constantly accelerating the progress of lint processing while strictly controlling the safety and quality of cotton procurement, storage, and processing. In the cotton factory, snow-white cotton piles up like mountains. Workers load, unload, stack, and pack the cotton in an orderly manner. After coding and marking, the cotton is transported to the designated site for storage.
Wang Jun, manager of Xinjiang Tianyu Fengshou Cotton Industry Co., Ltd., said that our Xinjiang Tianyu Fengshou Cotton Industry started acquisitions on September 27, and now it has We purchased more than 20,000 tons of cotton. During the purchase, we strictly followed the “one trial and five determinations”. During the process of harvesting seed cotton, we strictly followed the requirements of “single harvest, separate release, and separate binding”. At present, nearly 8,000 tons of seed cotton have been purchased and are being processed to provide excellent seeds for cotton farmers to grow cotton in the coming year.
It is understood that there are 33 cotton purchasing companies in Shaya County this year, planning to purchase 727,000 tons of cotton. As of December 5, a total of 61.42 million tons of seed cotton have been purchased. 10,000 tons, processing 116,600 tons of lint cotton, and the cotton purchase is expected to be completed in late December. </p
