At the 2022 China Textile Conference held on December 29, the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation recognized 55 “Pioneer Units for Climate Innovation Action in China’s Textile and Apparel Industry” and 65 “Pioneer Contributors to Climate Innovation Action in China’s Textile and Apparel Industry” “Praise was given. Among them, Dali Silk (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., Guangxi Nongtou Guihe Silk Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Huajia Silk Co., Ltd., China Oriental Silk Market Management Committee and other cocoon silk units were awarded the “Climate Innovation Action of China’s Textile and Apparel Industry” “Pioneer Unit”; Wei Cenlan of Guangxi Nongtou Guihe Silk Co., Ltd., Yu Jinjian of Jiangsu Huajia Silk Co., Ltd., Zhang Jinzhen of Dali Silk (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. and many other cocoon and silk workers were awarded “Climate Innovation in China’s Textile and Garment Industry” Action Vanguard Contributor”.
Since 2020, the China Textile and Apparel Industry Federation has carried out climate innovation action work, which has received positive response and enthusiastic participation from the majority of textile and garment enterprises, and has achieved remarkable results. Up to now, 21 brand companies, 42 manufacturing companies and 3 key industrial clusters have joined the “Chinese Brand 3060 Climate Innovation Carbon Neutral Acceleration Plan”; 137 companies have participated in the “China Textile and Apparel Industry Life Cycle Assessment CNTAC” -LCA Working Group” completed the carbon footprint calculations for 61 products, filling the gap in industry product environmental impact data. These pioneering practices of climate innovation actions have explored valuable experience for the industry’s “dual carbon” work and made important contributions to leading and promoting the green and low-carbon development of the industry.
