Chen Gang, director of the improved cotton seed processing factory of Xinjiang Jinfengyuan Seed Industry Co., Ltd., said that this year the company plans to produce 7,500 tons of cotton seeds. They started production in November last year, and the production line currently operates in two shifts. , which can process more than 50 tons of cotton seeds every day.
In the cotton seed quality inspection room, quality inspectors are sorting out the inspection and registration of various indicators to ensure that the quality of cotton seeds meets the qualified standards for shipment. “Specialized personnel from the inspection room come to the workshop every hour to conduct sampling and germination testing. To ensure the quality of seeds, seeds must be allowed to leave the factory only if the test results are above 92%,” said Alimire Ableti, an inspector of the company.
“In order to further improve the germination rate of seeds, we will upgrade the production line in 2022 from single-color selection and single specific gravity to double-color selection and double specific gravity, which can effectively reduce the breakage rate of cotton seeds. Next, we will improve production efficiency and produce enough high-quality seeds to ensure the orderly progress of spring plowing and spring sowing,” Chen Gang said.
