Dropping method AATCC 79 (water absorption test of textiles) Water temperature: 21±3℃ (distilled or deionized water), water drop size: 15-25 drops/ml
The sample needs to be conditioned under standard conditions (21±1 ℃, humidity 65±2%) and regain moisture for 4 hours
Steps: Place the sample flat on the mouth of the beaker, with the water droplet 10±1mm away from the cloth, and drop a drop of water onto the cloth surface.
Result: Record the time for the water droplets to completely diffuse without specular reflection, and take the average of 5 times.

Sedimentation method GB/T 22799 (Test method for hydrophilicity of towel products) Sample size: 5cm X 5cm, 3 pieces on each side.
1000mL beaker, 800mL third-grade water or distilled water, water temperature: 20±2 ℃
Result: Record the time when the sample is completely wetted. Stop recording if it exceeds 60 seconds, and take the average of 6 samples.

Absorption method GB/T 22799 (Test method for hydrophilicity of towel products) Instrument: LFY-215C Towel Water Absorption Tester
Steps: Level 3 water, water temperature 21±1°C, 50mL water (density d) flows out within 8 seconds, start counting when the water runs out, remove the tray after 25±5s, and weigh the mass of water m1.
Result: Water absorption rate P= (50d-m1)/50d x 100%.

Capillary Effect Determination Method (FZ/T 01071) (Test Method for Fabric Capillary Effect) Instrument: YG (B)-871 Fabric Capillary Effect Tester
Reagents: Use distilled water to prepare 2L of 5g/L potassium dichromate (K2Cr2O7) solution.
Steps: Cut three samples with a length of 20-30cm and a width of 5cm along the warp and weft directions of the sample. Cut two small holes on the short side of the sample about 0.5cm from the edge, and insert a glass rod weighing about 3g (or hang a clip of considerable weight). Then hang the sample vertically into the potassium dichromate solution, and submerge one end of the glass rod (or hanging clamp) into the water.
Results: 1. The time required for the solution to rise 2cm (sec); 2. The height of the solution rising at 5min, 15min, and 30min (cm). Take the arithmetic mean of 3 samples. If the solution rises to varying heights, record the low value.
