The fire resistance requirements of carpets mainly refer to low smoke and no toxic gas when burning. The ignition performance of wool carpets is better than that of chemical fiber carpets. One way to improve the fire resistance of chemical fiber carpets is to mix fire retardants in the polymerization stage before spinning, thereby producing fire-resistant fibers.
