Weft storage control

The weft storage control is completed by the weft storage detection sensor on the weft storage drum and the central microprocessor. Controls such as weft pre-winding, yarn storage winding speed and weft break alarm can be realized.
1. Weft pre-winding control
The weft storage drum always reserves a certain amount of weft yarn in advance, which is set according to the weaving process of the loom. When starting to use, it can be operated through the prewinding control switch on the weft feeder. Such as: OFF/ON switch on LASER/NOVA weft feeder, prewinding switch on FDP weft feeder, etc.
2. Weft storage detection and winding speed control
The weft feeder detects the weft storage through electrical sensors and mechanical sensors. Currently, magnetic Hall sensors are mostly used for detection (Figure 10-5). This kind of sensor has the characteristics of high sensitivity, reliable operation and long life. For example, if the magnetic probe on the storage drum of the LASER/NOVA type weft feeder is overturned by the weft yarn, it means that there is a certain amount of stored yarn. If the magnetic probe at different positions is overturned or stood up, it will be detected by the sensor. The microprocessor determines the working status of the weft feeder based on the detection results: acceleration, deceleration or shutdown.
The weft feeder used in the jet loom determines the winding speed based on the set number of unwinding turns and the comparison result of the weft feeder winding number. If the angular weft insertion is set to unwind 4 times at a time, the electromagnetic needle Each time it is lifted, the number of winding output by the encoding sensor should also be 4 turns: if it is less than 4 turns, the winding will be accelerated; if it is greater than 4 turns, the winding will be slowed down.



3. Yarn breakage control
Detected by the yarn breakage sensor at the end of the weft feeder, once a yarn breakage is detected, a yarn breakage signal will be sent to the loom immediately for automatic weft change or shutdown.
