1. Maintenance of air jet reed (1) Clean the yarn. (2) Cleaning the air jet reed: using artificial wool surface cleaning and mechanical cleaning. A special ultrasonic cleaning machine for steel reeds can be used. Different cleaning fluids can be selected according to the adhesion of oil stains or slurries to effectively remove dirt on the reed teeth and protect the air-jet reed from damage. (3) Check the air-jet reed for defects such as reed tooth damage, crushing, loose teeth, wear and cracking, etc., and classify and count them. (4) Correct the uniformity of the reed tooth gap, the flatness and inclination of the reed surface. Use a skilled technician with experience in reeding to correct the gap between the reed teeth and use suitable reeding tools to avoid worsening of unevenness. (5) How to replace worn reed teeth. Air-jet reed teeth are bonded with special resin glue. Replacement requires a lot of work. You should go to a professional air-jet reed repair unit to replace the reed teeth. Do not replace them yourself. After replacing the reed teeth, the air pressure value should be checked and corrected, and the machine can be used only after meeting the usage requirements. If the reed teeth are damaged or worn in a large area, the aluminum reed beam should be replaced. (6) Depending on the quality of the weft yarn, there will be fluff or thread slurry accumulated between the reed teeth. These dirt will cause weft insertion failure or contaminate the fabric. There are two methods for cleaning off the machine and cleaning with the loom installed. ① When cleaning the air-jet reed when it is installed on the loom, dry cleaning without water and cleaning agent and wet cleaning with water or cleaning agent can be adopted. ② When dismounting the machine for cleaning, if possible, use an ultrasonic cleaning machine, blow dry with compressed air, and use advanced cleaning technology to thoroughly clean the reed.
