Recently, at the opening ceremony of the first “Science and Technology China·Tianfu Technology Cloud Service Conference”, Liangshan Prefecture launched the Ningnan County South Silk Road Group’s “Key Technology Integration of Sericulture Silk Modern Industrial Chain” project as one of the top ten high-tech projects in the province. Technology promotion projects were released at the opening ceremony.
Under the guidance of the “One Belt, One Road” and high-quality development strategies, my country’s sericulture industry is ushering in a great opportunity for transformation and reform and breakthrough development. Ningnan County South Silk Road Group Co., Ltd. is the only national key leading enterprise in the agricultural industrialization of mulberry silk industry in Sichuan Province. It leads the “Research and Integration of Key Technologies for Modern Silk Modern Industrial Chain” project and has obtained 2 invention patents. It has 6 utility model patents and 10 software copyrights, and through the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, it has developed organic food and beverages, organic home textiles and other health products. The “Key Technology Integration Project of the Modern Silk Industry Chain” combines the academic and scientific research strength of the Provincial Silk Science Research Institute and the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences Sericulture Research Institute as well as the production experience of Ningnan County for half a century. Breakthrough progress has been made in aspects such as development and comprehensive utilization of waste. The project innovated and developed 12 new varieties and technologies, 11 key technologies, 6 national and local standards, obtained 15 patents, and 4 provincial science and technology progress awards, leading the South Silk Road Group to become the first company in the province to win international and domestic awards. The cocoon and silk enterprise with double organic certification and the largest export earnings has brought the annual output value of the entire sericulture industry chain in Ningnan County to 2.8 billion yuan and export earnings of 20 million US dollars, driving the annual income of 102,000 sericulture farmers to 700 million yuan, including 1,423 households. Households lifted out of poverty achieved an increase in income of 18.9 million yuan. This project has established a complete system for the large-scale, standardized planting, intensive and modern processing of the sericulture industry, set a benchmark for the high-quality development of the provincial and state sericulture industry, and submitted a brilliant answer to the high-quality development of Liangshan.
