Spring cocoons have been on the market for more than 10 days in Ningnan County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Recently, the 13 cocoon purchasing stations affiliated to the Southern Silk Road Group Company have ushered in a prosperous period, with the volume of cocoons collected in a single day reaching more than 100,000 kilograms. The quantity has reached 600,000 kilograms, a record high. So far, the income of silkworm farmers from selling cocoons has reached 33 million yuan.
