Xinjiang, my country’s largest cotton-producing region, has entered the cotton harvesting period

In September of the golden autumn, tens of millions of acres of cotton in Xinjiang, my country’s largest cotton-producing region, are spun out, and mechanized harvesting begins in the cotton area on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains. This year, Xinjiang has planted about 37 million acres of cotton, and the cotton harvesting period is expected to be more than one month. Data from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Agricultural and Rural Mechanization Development Center show that Xinjiang’s comprehensive mechanized cotton harvest rate in 2021 will exceed 80%. </p
