Antibacterial finishing should be based on the customer’s testing methods and requirements to select antibacterial agents. For example, for non-dissolving antibacterial agents, AATCC 147 is not suitable because it will not produce an inhibitory zone. The best testing method is ASTM-E2149-01. And when finishing in one bath, pay attention to the compatibility of antibacterial agents, softeners, moisture wicking agents and other additives.
