Developer Shen Qianlong said that textiles with luminous properties can be made into hats, backpacks or clothing, which can improve the safety of people walking at night.
“This LED light-emitting textile is designed to improve the safety of pedestrians walking at night.” Developer Shen Qianlong pointed out that although other regions have long had the idea of embedding LED lights into clothing, this light-emitting textile is the world’s first “textile-based” “From the perspective of cutting in, it is an avant-garde product developed after combining the advantages of the advanced LED industry. And it is suitable for walking, jogging at night, or military and police performing command duties.
This kind of textile, which can be used for weaving, sewing and embroidery, will be widely used in safety warnings and medical care due to its softness, waterproofness and 360-degree luminous properties. Shen Qianlong said that currently 1,600 manufacturers have adopted it, and when it uses “hundred meters” as the production unit, the monthly output can reach 300 kilometers, which has greatly increased the added value of the traditional textile industry. Shen Qianlong said that manufacturers can design different power supply methods such as charging and filling batteries according to needs. When the power is full, the battery life can be up to 8 hours.
Shen Qianlong also said that this kind of textile material can be widely used in hats, backpacks and coats. Compared with traditional reflective vests and armbands, this textile is lightweight and one-piece, which also allows the wearer’s body to Carrying more than the weight. And currently, countries including Europe, Singapore and Australia have introduced it and actually used it in military and police command systems.
