Adaptable scope and fabric varieties
The projectile loom is a shuttleless loom with a wide range of applications. It can weave narrow or wide fabrics: light fabrics, medium-thick fabrics, heavy fabrics, special fabrics, and single-color and multi-color, plain or complex pattern fabrics. . Since the projectile loom uses projectile weft insertion, the weft yarn can be adapted to a wide range of applications, including natural fibers, man-made fibers, filaments and split yarns. Table 4-1 lists the applicable range of raw materials and yarn properties of Sulzer projectile looms, and Table 4-2 lists the applicable range of fabric varieties of projectile looms.
